jeremy’s vision
Question Mark Tavern began as Jeremy’s vision for a true neighborhood gathering place, somewhere anyone in San Francisco could walk into, feel welcome instantly, and enjoy great food and drinks without the pretense or the price tag.
Located across the street from the Hall of Justice, known to most locals as “850 Bryant,” on any given afternoon, you’ll find jurors, construction crews, attorneys, service industry folks, tech workers, and longtime neighbors all sharing the same room. That mix is exactly how we like it.
We serve lunch and dinner, and we take our kitchen seriously. Our fettuccine alfredo earned a write-up in The San Francisco Standard, a recognition we’re genuinely proud of. The red chili for our Frito pie is flown in from Santa Fe, New Mexico!
While the Alfredo may have made the news, it’s just one example of what we do every day. From our jumbo hot wings and burgers—vegan too—to our rotating specials, the goal is simple: real food, made well, at a fair price.
We show all major sports on our big screens, but we’re not a sports bar. The game might be on, but it doesn’t define the room. You can catch your team, enjoy a solid meal, and still have a real conversation. Of course, you might catch one of your favorite movies as well.
Behind the bar, we offer a strong well selection, a thoughtful call lineup, and a well-heeled top-shelf back bar, along with a great beer selection to keep things interesting. Whether you’re ordering a straightforward whiskey, a proper cocktail, or an ice-cold beer, it’ll be poured right.
Karaoke is part of our DNA. You can grab the mic just about anytime, and we also host dedicated karaoke nights when the stage really lights up. Add in trivia, DJs, comedy, movie nights, and private events, and there’s always something happening, without it ever feeling forced.
